I've been called a 'Renaissance Woman,' and, as one who aspired to be a chef only to pivot to a Broadway career (after receiving my first offer to work at the Metropolitan Opera), then touring for years with Marvin Hamlisch, starring in the debut production of Weill's STREET SCENE in Berlin (after training at the Houston Opera Studio), to then star in London's West End in Hal and Stro's magnificent SHOW BOAT, the years of working with the legendary Jack O'Brien, Susan Stroman, Christopher Wheeldon, Francesca Zambello, and Andy Hammerstein among others, appearing at the Lincoln Center and with symphony orchestras from the Boston Pops to the National Symphony, not to mention appearing in film/tv, I can understand why! I have played everything from a southern belle to a transvestite, to a French/German/Austrian/Italian/Alien, to a teapot. And, as my world expands to include the joys of teaching, directing, and writing, I marvel at the wonders of life and art. I hold gratitude for each moment of this spectacular and unexpected journey and look forward to pushing the bounds of possibility...
